Full House Motorsports Car Club Bylaws

Article I
Purpose and Classification

Section 1: Purpose
A. The general purpose of this club, and hereinafter called The Club, shall be to provide a social organization for all those interested in the restoration, modification, and promotion of antique, classic, and/or special interest vehicles. To encourage interest in said vehicles to the general public and bringing together all those with similar interests.

B. Our goal is to raise funds for charitable purposes. Such funds shall be raised by, but not limited to, car shows, car cruises, toy runs, etc.

Section 2: Classification of Vehicles
In order to facilitate the general purpose, ALL vehicle years, makes, and models are eligible for membership.

Article II
Definition of Bylaws
These Bylaws constitute a code of rules adopted by The Club, for the regulation and management of its affairs.

Article III
Membership

Section 1
Membership is open to all individuals 18 years of age and older that are interested in promoting the purposes of this club

Section 2
All applications shall be endorsed by an active member in good standing. All applications will be presented to the Executive Board for approval by a majority vote. ?The Membership? shall consist of the Executive Board & Full Members. The mentioned members shall share in all of the obligations and privileges of membership in The Club, provided their dues are paid up to date and are otherwise members in good standing. All applications must be submitted with Club application and photo of car for consideration.

Section 3
Membership Classification is to read as follows:
Full Member - Members paying the full membership rate and are of legal age (18).
Family Member - Member of the immediate family of a Full Member and resides in the same household of said member.

Section 4
The membership year shall begin on February 1st of each year. The annual dues shall be $45 per year for the first year and $25 for each subsequent year. Dues are due at time of application to The Club. Once application to Club is accepted, applicant shall receive one (1) Club sticker and one (1) Club t-shirt. The Secretary shall notify members one (1) month in arrears and those whose dues are not paid within three (3) months after notification shall be removed from membership in the Club. Any member who is dropped for non-payment of dues and wishes to be re-instated shall be so upon full payment of year?s dues. All dues are non-refundable.

Section 5
Membership is open during the months of April thru October of each calendar year. Any prospective person who wishes to join The Club, must submit their application and then attend a minimum of 3 meetings in a row. First two meetings are on a ?trial? basis with member receiving full member benefits at the third meeting.

Conduct
During Club activities and other events, members shall:
  • 1. Conduct themselves in a manner which promoted cooperation among members.
  • 2. Respect each others opinions during meetings and allow each member the opportunity to present his/her views.
  • 3. Refrain from making personal attacks and leave personal disputes outside of the Club?s activities.
  • 4. Conduct themselves in a manner which promotes a favorable public opinion of the Club and it?s activities/events.
  • 5. Not make commitments on behalf of the Club without the vote of approval of the Executive Board.
MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY:
  • A. As a member of the Club, you will promote said Club by helping with the promotion of car shows and cruise nights via flyers handed out, wearing club apparel, and talking to owners of cars to promote the Club and what it is trying to accomplish.
  • B. Members must operate vehicles in such a manner that it will not cause embarrassment to said Club, its officers, and members. If such a case arises, the offending member will be removed from the Club.
  • C. All Club members who drive while involved in Club functions or are traveling with said Club going to or from a Club function, shall abide by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, or any other State when representing the club.
  • D. In order for our events to be successful, members are asked to help as much as possible during Club events (i.e.- shows, cruise nights, etc.)
Officers
The officers (Executive Board) of the Club shall be President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. These officer positions are permanent positions within the Club except for Club Secretary which will be a per year position for any member who wishes (this is an elected position).

President - Shall have general supervision, direction, and control of the business and affairs of the Club.
The President shall sign all contracts. The President shall appoint any committee he feels necessary for the good and welfare of the Club. The President shall only make commitments, sign only those official documents, and only those resolutions as authorized by the Executive Board. The President will preside over all meetings called for and he will act as an ambassador to any functions or activities held by the club or any other club he is asked to attend. He will seek ways to help build membership, create ideas, and help promote and maintain interest for and by its members. He shall meet at least once a quarter with his Executive Board. He shall also be responsible to plan and oversee the budget of the club funds for the next year.

Vice-President - Shall perform all duties of the President in the President?s absence, and when so acting, shall have all the powers and restrictions of the President.
The Vice President will preside over all meetings called for if the President is unable to attend. He, too, will act as ambassador to any functions the President cannot attend. He will be in charge of all chairmen committees and report to the president as needed. He will keep and update the membership roster, collecting and keeping a record of who has and has not paid club dues, with a current dues roster; collect monies for and order club apparel. He will work with the Secretary and Treasurer in keeping those records that are necessary.

Secretary - Shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all regular, special, and Executive Board meetings. The Secretary shall keep an accurate roll of Members and shall keep the President aware of any and all correspondence that should be brought forth to the Executive Board (membership applications, events, etc).

Treasurer - Shall keep a correct accounting of the Club?s business transactions.
The Treasurer shall deposit all monies and other assets in the Club bank account, disburse the funds of the Club, and shall render to the Executive Board an accounting of the Club?s assets when requested. Checks written against the Club?s fund must be signed by a minimum of 2 members of the Executive Board.

Sergeant at Arms - Responsible for setting location of monthly meetings. Also for setting up ?special? club functions. Additional duties will be placed upon the Sergeant at Arms upon the Executive Board?s decision.

Meetings
General Meetings shall be held on the first Monday of each month in February and then from April thru November at 7:00 pm. Location of said meetings will be announced to the general membership.

(1) A special meeting of the members may be called at any time upon seven days written notice to the members, at the direction of the President, or the Executive Board, or upon request of 10 percent of the members.
(2) A quorum shall consist of those members present at any regular or special meeting.
